HTML & CSS Tutorial: Colored Scrollbars

Colored scrollbars are not Firefox compatible. Firefox will simply ignore it and use the default scrollbar, but this does work on Internet Explorer. It doesn't hurt to add a colored scrollbar into your designs for the benefit of the IE users. :) Here's the script:

Insert that into the <head> section of your source. Then just change the word COLOR around to the color you want it to be. Play around with the coloring til you know what changes which parts of the scrollbar. overflow: auto is something that makes your scrollbars disappear when you don't need them. If you want your scrollbar to always be there, then just take it out.
