Adobe Flash: Adding a Motion Guide
Motion Tweening
Instead of creating a new keyframe every time you want your object to move in a different direction, you can add a motion guide to greatly simplify things. Use the animation that we created in the Motion Tweening tutorial.
1. Right click on the layer and select "Add Motion Guide." See image 1.

2. A new layer called "Guide: Layer 1" should appear above it.
3. Now use the pencil tool, keep the guide layer selected, and draw a random course for your rectangle to move through. See image 2.

4. Go back to Layer 1 and go to frame 1. Use the select tool and place the rectangle in frame 1 at the beginning of your line guide.
5. Still on layer 1, go to frame 10. Place the rectangle on the other end of the line. See image 3.

6. Now press Ctrl + Enter and see your rectangle move along the path that you drew! The line will have become invisible in the actual animation.
