Flash Tutorial: Tween Effects [Rotation, Speed]

So now you should know how to shape tween and motion tween. There's more advanced effects that you can create, too. Let's use the same image that we had for our Motion Tweening tutorial and continue from there.

- Select any of the frames between 1 and 10 on your timeline and take a look at the Properties Window.

Motion Tweening Tutorial

First look at the Ease property. I've boxed it in red. The ease number can be anything from -100 to 100. A negative ease means that the animation starts out slow and gradually becomes faster. A positive ease means the animation starts out fast and gradually becomes slower. You can play around with that and press "Ctrl + Enter" to see the effects!

The ease property is available in both motion tweens and shape tweens! The rotate property, shown below, is only available in motion tweens.

Now look at the Rotate property, boxed in blue. In the dropdown option, you can use CW (Clockwise) or CCW (Counter-Clockwise). After you've picked CW or CCW, you can enter a number next to "times" to indicate how many times you want your rectangle to rotate. Try that out too!
